Heart To Heart is the story of Jim Huffman and his amazing journey from failing heart to the incredible gift of a heart transplant.
The Heart To Heart Project was formed to provide awareness, resources and information concerning life-giving and life-saving resources, such as blood, organs and information. As family of Jim Huffman, heart transplant recipient, we felt the need to present information to make it easy to be involved.
This project was initially conceived by Kinsey Cook with the idea of personalized wristbands, as a way to create awareness, to share her care and concern for her cousin Jim, and to “pay it forward” as she celebrated her 21st birthday. Once the discussion began with Jim, the project expanded to include his story, in his own words, with a website and FB page created by Kinsey’s mom, Cindy (Huffman) Cook Holdford. From there, the project evolved into a fact-finding mission, a focus on creating awareness and appreciation for blood and organ donors, as well as recipients.
Our goal is simple – to share Jim’s story, and to connect to your heart through our words and images.
